3rd light bar that has just cracked and broken within the year. Made with very cheap material that breaks easy. Have a hygienist that has had the same thing happen twice as well. First the on off button balls off. Then the entire connection breaks apart. Was told it was out of warranty so would have to buy a new one. Why would you want to buy a new one that breaks within a year????

Cord was shipped quickly which I appreciate. I’ve had my light for approximately 4 years and been very satisfied. My only issue is because I am so short, I wish there was an option for a shorter cord. I have trouble adjusting the length and keeping it set at desired length. It makes it slightly annoying when I sit down on my cord because it won’t stay where I’ve positioned it. For those of us with short torsos, it’s a little annoyance throughout my day.

I’ve had this wire replacement for only a month and it’s already not working. Super disappointed because I depend on my loupes and light for work daily and when it doesn’t work correctly it’s a lot more difficult to see. The new chord works great. My old one constantly turned on and off. I thought it was the light. The new one after a week started to do the same thing. I think now, it was my NEW battery all along. The attachment must not be right. Expensive process and still not working correctly.

Worked well for the first few months but it started having trouble around the 6 month mark. The metal around the plug end comes off and is a common issue. The light flickers on and off and sometimes doesn't turn on if I dont position the plug in a certain orientation.

The tip of the part where the wire connects to the battery broke off even though it could still work. I noticed that my light was starting to go off while I was working with patients which is NOT acceptable. So I decided to order a new one. I forgot to call to see if it was under warranty. It’s ok though! I am happy to have a new one.

Ultralight Optics was the source of my third set of loupes. There was no comparison with the previous sets, both were very heavy and tedious to wear by the end of the day. I love the fact that I can buy replacement parts as needed without any hassle and easy installation in the office. It is inevitable that the thin wires that are in the cable will bend and fray but the replacement part needs just a few minutes to install. It's not a bad idea to order a spare cable to have on hand.
The customer service is the best I have ever seen. I recommend this company and their loupes without hesitation!

I have had these loupes for over 6 years. They are amazing! I work at two offices and over 40+ hours a week. They are my lifesaver. The cord is amazing light weight and have not had many issues. I have owned my ultralight since 2013 - besides replacing batteries, it has worked so well. I was home for 1 year during the pandemic so the light was not used. After going back to work, the light stopped working. The battery was fine. I borrowed my dentist's light (small rechargeable batteries on the light) and did not like it at all. I decided to take apart the ultralight and found some corrosion around the contacts. I ordered a new wire replacement and voila! , my light was working again. I love this light - so lightweight, great illumination and I would strongly recommend this company. They have been wonderful to address any concerns that I have had these last 9 years!
